I am sharing images taken at Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in July 2024. In a previous post, I shared only photographs of the cave entrance. This time, I would like to share images of statues that I photographed in the Hindu temples located on both sides of the entrance.
I tried to find the names of these temples online, but I was unable to identify them. Therefore, I will simply describe them as the temple on the right side of the entrance and the temple on the left side of the entrance. The first half of the images (up to No. 6) were taken in the temple on the right side of the entrance. The remaining images were taken in the temple on the left side.
I have very little experience visiting Hindu temples, so I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that I do not know what many of these statues and figures represent. The temple on the right contained many black stone statues of Hindu deities, while the temple on the left featured many colorful statues and figures that were highly photogenic.
Looking back, I somewhat regret not learning a little more about Hinduism before visiting these temples.
