These photos were taken at Batu Caves in July 2024. I have previously shared images of the entrance area and the temples located on both sides of the entrance, and this time I am posting photos from inside the cave.
The images I had seen beforehand showed only the large statue at the entrance and the colorful staircase leading up to the cave, so I visited without knowing what the interior looked like. The cave is divided into two main sections. The first section is a very spacious area with a high ceiling. The second section has a large opening in the roof, allowing natural light to enter and illuminate the interior. It was cloudy when I visited, but on a clear day the contrast between the cave’s darkness and the light from above would likely be even more beautiful.
This will be my final post of Batu Caves photos, so I would like to add a few impressions. Batu Caves is easily accessible from central Kuala Lumpur and is a well-known tourist spot with many points of interest. I expected it to be crowded, but the number of visitors was far beyond what I had imagined. I explored the site from 10:30 to 12:00. According to information online, the early morning and late afternoon tend to be less crowded, so those who wish to avoid crowds may want to avoid the time slot I visited. If I have another opportunity, I would like to go again in the late afternoon, and I will definitely go by train.
