I am sharing images of Shwedagon Pagoda that I took during my trip to Myanmar in April 2019. At that time, the main stupa was under renovation, so these photos are mainly of Buddha images.
Back then, I thought I could take photos of the stupa and the night view on another trip. That is why I only stayed one night in Yangon. Now I feel that I should have at least taken some night photos.
Returning to Shwedagon Pagoda, I find that the Buddha images in Myanmar are more expressive and more decorative compared to those in other Southeast Asian countries or in Japan, and I think they are very beautiful. There are so many Buddha images at Shwedagon Pagoda that I wondered how many there are. If I had more time, I think I could have spent a whole day taking photos there.
I still have a large number of photos of Buddha images from Shwedagon Pagoda, so I would like to share them on another occasion.
