I am sharing images of Htilominlo Temple in Bagan, Myanmar, taken during my trip in April 2019. Personally, what I remember most about this temple are the murals of Buddha images that had weathered over time, leaving only their outlines.
On that day, I hired a horse cart from around 3:00 p.m. to visit the archaeological sites of Old Bagan. I stopped at this temple because the cart driver chose to bring me there. In other words, I did not plan to visit it myself, so I explored the temple without even knowing its name. After returning home, I searched online for similar images and eventually identified it as Htilominlo Temple. I believe I have the correct name, but if I am mistaken, please forgive me.
When I visited Bagan, many monuments were undergoing restoration work. The upper part of this temple was also covered with green netting. At the time, I thought, “I can always come back another day,” so I did not take photographs of sites that were under restoration. Looking back, however, I somewhat regret that decision.
