These are images of Wat Chiang Man in Chiang Mai, Thailand, taken in July 2010. I am sorry to say that I remember very little about this temple. I was only able to identify it as Wat Chiang Man by searching online for a “temple with an elephant chedi.”
Wat Chiang Man is a well-known and highly regarded temple in Chiang Mai, and I knew the name, but I do not even remember where exactly I took these photos.
On that day, I left my hotel on a motorbike tour around the outskirts of Chiang Mai, and I think my attention was focused on that, so I did not remember much about the temple. It might also be because I was riding alone on a motorbike that was not in good condition, so I may have been a bit tense.
