Another viewpoint at Lempuyang Temple

These photos were taken at a viewpoint near Lempuyang Temple.

It was a small spot with only a fountain, a statue (which I believe represents a celestial figure), and a simple swing. Even so, there was a separate entrance fee from the temple itself. I do not remember the exact price, but it was not expensive, so I personally think it is worth stopping by if you have time.

I will share photos of Lempuyang Temple itself on another occasion, but I would like to say a few words about it here.

On that day, I traveled around eastern Bali by car chartered from Ubud, and Lempuyang Temple was the last place on my itinerary. I arrived a little after 5:00 PM, which was close to sunset.

I had heard that the temple gets very crowded in the morning, so I decided to visit it at the end of the day. However, as you can see from the photos, the weather was not ideal.

This viewpoint was facing the opposite direction of Mount Agung, so the view was still acceptable, but on the side of Mount Agung, the mountain was completely hidden by clouds and mist.

If you want to take the well-known images of Lempuyang Temple that are often seen online, I think it is better to visit in the morning when the weather is more likely to be clear.
